SonTab Privacy Policy

SonTab is a browser extension that saves and restores your tabs. It is designed to be private by default.

What data SonTab handles

When you click the SonTab toolbar icon, the extension reads the URL, title, and favicon of the tabs in your current window in order to save them as a group. If you use the import feature, the URLs and titles contained in the imported file or text are also stored. Your settings (theme, language, display options) are stored as well.

Where the data is stored

All data stays on your device. Everything is stored locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local).

• SonTab has no backend server.
• SonTab makes no network requests.
• SonTab includes no analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
• Your data is never transmitted, sold, or shared with anyone.

Permissions

• tabs — required to read the URL/title of open tabs when you save them and to reopen tabs when you restore them.
• storage / unlimitedStorage — required to keep your saved groups and settings on your device without size limits.

Data deletion

Deleting a tab or group inside SonTab removes it from local storage immediately. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.
